We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Engineering professional with 12+ years of experience in Turnaround & Inspection (T&I) planning and execution within the Oil & Gas Downstream sector (Refining & Petrochemicals). The ideal candidate should have expertise in turnaround management software, such as Prometheus, ROSER, Primavera P6, and other end-to-end turnaround management solutions. Experience in budgeting, cost optimization, contracting strategy, and risk management is required for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist/Lead turnaround assurance reviews or cold-eye reviews of turnaround preparations for various facilities to ensure predictable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Review the progress and quality of deliverables during all phases of the turnaround life cycle and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Influence and motivate turnaround planning teams across facilities to implement best practices, lessons learned, and enhance safety, quality, and competitiveness.
- Review the implementation of stage-gated turnaround processes across multiple facilities.
- Assist/Conduct risk management, scope challenge, and schedule challenge workshops for turnarounds across different facilities.
- Review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for turnarounds and provide performance insights.
- Keep abreast of significant technological developments to improve turnaround performance.
- Lead and run a Community of Practice to disseminate best practices and share knowledge across refining and petrochemical assets.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in turnaround management, including planning and execution in the Oil & Gas Downstream sector (Refining & Petrochemicals).
- Turnaround Software Expertise: Proficient in turnaround planning software such as Prometheus, ROSER, Primavera P6, and other end-to-end solutions for turnaround and outage management.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. FE, PE, API, NACE, or ASME certifications are desirable.
- Risk Management & Performance: Extensive experience in turnaround risk management and performance evaluation (e.g., Solomon indices, turnaround benchmarking).
- Contracting & Budgeting: Strong experience in contracting strategies, contract scope preparation, and technical bid evaluations for turnaround contracts.
- Materials & Resources Management: Proficient in turnaround materials and resources management.
- Cost Optimization: Experience in turnaround budgeting, cost optimization, and post-turnaround performance reviews (including lessons learned).
- SAP System Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of SAP systems and their application in turnaround activities.

- Maintenance & Repair Procedures: Strong background in developing and reviewing repair procedures and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Technology Integration: Ability to leverage new technologies to improve turnaround performance and efficiency.
- Community of Practice Leadership: Experienced in leading communities of practice and sharing best practices and lessons learned across teams.
