Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Manager to provide strategic oversight of systems and teams within our BITE area. This pivotal role involves steering team operations, ensuring infrastructure and applications align with business objectives while maintaining optimal performance and security standards. Responsibilities: Lead project management efforts from planning and design to execution and evaluation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of system/application infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Facilitate collaboration between our execution (GT) team and other business units to enhance interdepartmental workflows and processes. Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and oversight of service delivery, to ensure high-quality products and services. Conduct data analysis to investigate and evaluate emerging technologies that could enhance operational efficiency or provide competitive advantages. Achieve client satisfaction objectives to strengthen business IT collaboration. Build and maintain professional relationships by understanding and consistently meeting client needs to improve delivery capabilities. Foster relationships with team members, managers, and peers. Support increased delivery capacity by achieving targeted results. Ensure proper financing and budget control for the cost center. Provide a flexible, low-cost IT operating platform. Avoid penalties imposed by third-party agencies. Enhance efficiency and productivity monthly in line with departmental strategic plans. Meet transformational targets. Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in the recruitment and selection of senior staff. Support a culture of transformation through participation in company culture-building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI. Stay current with developments in the field, ensuring personal and professional growth. Lead by example to embrace and promote the company's vision and values. Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Role-relevant tertiary qualification Experience: 4-6 years experience in IT and BI environments Experience with front ends on app and web-based applications or platforms (Angular, iOS, Android) Technical/Professional Knowledge: Governance, Risk, and Controls Industry trends Microsoft Office Principles of financial management Relevant software and systems knowledge Decision-making process Business writing skills IT/Banking knowledge and procedures Behavioural Competencies: Aligning Performance for Success Earning Trust Customer Focus Building Talent Facilitating Change Influencing Driving for Results Planning and Organizing
