Job Summary
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Vehicle Stock Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience in managing inventory, and a solid understanding of the automotive industry. The Vehicle Stock Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the stock levels of vehicles, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and coordinating stock movements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicle stock, including incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries, ensuring vehicles are properly logged and tracked.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation of vehicle inventory.
- Assist with the management of vehicle orders, ensuring timely deliveries and stock rotations.
- Liaise with sales, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth stock management processes.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly documented, including registration, servicing, and warranty details.
- Manage the movement of vehicles between locations (if applicable), ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
- Generate and provide regular reports on stock levels, vehicle availability, and movement trends.
- Handle any vehicle-related queries from internal teams or external parties in a professional manner.
- Implement and enforce inventory control best practices to minimize losses and maintain accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in all stock management processes.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualifications is a plus.
- Prior experience as a vehicle stock controller at a motor dealership.
- Must have Automotive industry experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver’s license and a good understanding of vehicle handling.
