Hire Resolve's Client are seeking an IT Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Durbanville office. This hands-on technical role involves working with a range of technologies, including Debian/Linux, Arduino, ESP32, Mikrotik, routing, Bash, and Python. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with these technologies and be able to handle the day-to-day IT engineering tasks required to support our systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Linux/Networking Support:

 - Administer and maintain Debian/Linux servers and networks. - Handle router configurations and Mikrotik networking solutions. - Manage routing protocols and network troubleshooting.

• Programming & Automation:

 - Develop and implement scripts using Bash and Python for system automation. - Work with Arduino and ESP32 to integrate hardware and software solutions for various projects.

• System Monitoring & Maintenance:

 - Perform routine maintenance and ensure systems are running efficiently. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

• Collaboration:

 - Work closely with other team members to support IT infrastructure and provide solutions to operational challenges. - Assist with the testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of new technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:

 - Any diploma in IT is preferred.

 - Practical experience is key for this role.

• Technical Skills:

 - Solid experience with Debian/Linux systems administration. - Familiarity with Arduino and ESP32 hardware. - Experience in Mikrotik networking and routing. - Proficiency in Bash and Python for automation and scripting.

• Experience:

 - Proven experience in IT engineering, preferably with hands-on knowledge of the tech stack listed above. - Problem-solving and troubleshooting experience in a technical environment.

Work Environment

• This is an on-site role based at our Durbanville office.
• Candidates must be available to work from the office regularly.
