Job Advert: Project Consultant – Sustainability (Remote, South Africa)
Our client, based in the United Kingdom, is looking for a talented and experienced South African to join their team as a Project Consultant.
They are a leading international boutique search firm specializing in the audit, risk, and sustainability markets. This role is a fully remote position for a South African professional to work from home for a company based in the UK.
As part of the sustainability team, you will be responsible for conducting detailed, high-quality searches for senior mandates across a wide range of disciplines, including technical sustainability, finance, commercial, and technology. You will work closely with the Sustainability Director and a team of experienced professionals to identify and engage the best candidates for complex roles across large corporates, consultancies, and start-up companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Briefings & Research: Attend job briefing calls and meetings, asking insightful questions to deeply understand the client’s requirements and role expectations.
- Candidate Sourcing & Head-hunting: Use advanced research skills and a range of technology tools (CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter, and others) to conduct a thorough market search, identifying both active and passive candidates.
- Candidate Screening & Engagement: Conduct in-depth screening calls to evaluate candidates and present opportunities in an attractive and knowledgeable way.
- Shortlisting & Interview Process: Present high-quality shortlists aligned with client needs, manage the interview process, and maintain regular communication with both clients and candidates.
- Candidate Preparation: Ensure candidates are fully prepared for interviews to maximize chances of success.
- Administration & CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM and other systems, including job setups, application reviews, and interview scheduling.
- Exceptional Service Delivery: Provide a world-class candidate and client experience, ensuring all interactions are professional and seamless.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in headhunting or recruitment, ideally within the sustainability or related sectors.
- Experience in managing senior and complex mandates across a variety of disciplines.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media marketing for recruitment purposes.
- A strong understanding of the sustainability landscape, with a genuine interest in advancing sustainability goals.

The position fully remote (working remotely from South Africa for an international company)
Location: Wherever the wifi is & South African based.
Salary: R30 000-R35 000, depending on experience
