Job Summary
A London based Interior Design Studio is looking for a remote based Mid-Level Design Assistant, who would provide the Design Director with full or part-time assistance across a variety of design tasks, not limited to the following:
- Coordination and completion of schedule documents (sanitaryware, brassware, ironmongery, lighting, etc) based on specifications given by the design director, inputting all required information into template schedules and/or creating new documents using company branding when required.
- Updating Project Programme based on site reports and updates from the design team.
- Communication with suppliers when required to obtain pricing, lead times, further product information, and any other project-related inquiries.
- Preparation of procurement purchase orders to be issued to suppliers as proof of order, following up on orders to ensure placed and on time.
- Preparation of and updating /overseeing FF&E schedules using Program software (or similar where required) for projects. Updating schedule with order information, pricing, item specifications, delivery updates, etc.
- Management of delivery timescales and order process of purchased goods.?
Skills required:
- 3-5 years of design experience and project management experience
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Adobe Suite (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good communicator, confident dealing with a wide range of suppliers and contractors
- Able to deal firmly and fairly with contractors and consultants.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and open attitude to new ways of working.
- Self-motivated, proactive with the ability to take initiative.
Experience in a design studio is not essential, however, knowledge of the industry is preferred.
Employment on a contractual basis with notice period security.
