Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled IT Support Technician for our client, a leading industrial chemicals wholesaler. In this role, the IT Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of IT issues, whether hardware or software-related. You will work closely with the IT Manager to provide timely feedback and solutions within agreed-upon deadlines, ensuring smooth communication and technical support for both internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues.
- Install and configure software, hardware, PCs, and laptops.
- Ensure systems are backed up and maintained properly.
- Document all tasks and duties related to IT support.
- Provide remote management and support services.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers and ISPs.
- Offer first-line support by addressing frequently asked questions.
- Maintain and update the website with product details and industry news.
- Develop and maintain the management reporting application.
Requirements
- IT-related degree or diploma. (Advantageous)
- Experience with web development platforms or languages.(Advantageous)
- Understanding of Server software implementation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Active Directory on MS Server.
- Experience with creating Users/Roles in a Domain environment.
- Understanding of TCP/IP.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Technical knowledge of IT infrastructures.
- Proficient in PC and printer troubleshooting and fault-finding.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
