Job Summary
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor & General Manager to join their dynamic team. This unique position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with expertise in cost management, project oversight, and business leadership. As both a Quantity Surveyor and General Manager, you will be responsible for managing project budgets, contracts, and cost estimation while also providing strategic leadership to drive operational success and growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term business objectives.

Minimum requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying is non-negotiable
- 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying
- 3+ years experience in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of high-end residential construction processes
- Proven track record in cost control, project management, and business operations
- Proficient in MS Projects, Procore or similar programs
- Valid drivers license
- Own vehicle
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for high-value projects
- Analyze architectural and engineering plans to develop comprehensive budgets
- Cost control and cost management
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
- Manage cash flow projections, supplier payments, and subcontractor claims
- Procurement
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency
- Evaluate bids and secure favorable terms to maximize value without compromising quality
- Valuation & Reporting
- Conduct monthly valuations, prepare payment certificates, and reconcile final accounts
- Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to the CEO
Remuneration:
Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience
