About the role
We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our Youth Employment Services program. This role will focus on promoting our platform, engaging with our community, and driving awareness of our mission to create sustainable beauty supply chains and support small businesses globally.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts.
- Content Creation: Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, and audio) across various social media platforms.
- Community Engagement: Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote Services, products, and initiatives, particularly focusing on youth employment and small business support.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to understand the effectiveness of social media initiatives and optimize strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure content is informative, appealing, and aligned with Prim-U’s brand identity and goals.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends, social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
Requirements:
- Matric and any Marketing-related certifications, course qualifications, Communications, or a related field.
- South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
- Must not have taken part in the YES Programme before.
- Excellent consulting, writing, and editing (photo/video/text). Advantageous], presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking abilities.
- Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
- Fluency in English.
