Job Summary
Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, covering machinery purchases, CAPEX items, and labor
Source competitive quotes from trusted suppliers and build a reliable network of approved service providers
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, stock control, and procurement
Ensure adequate stock levels of necessary equipment and supplies
Minimize equipment downtime through immediate repairs
Guide, train, and develop staff in essential maintenance skills
Ensure all equipment is operated safely and securely
Implement a preventive maintenance program that adheres to safety regulations, warranties, and industry best practices
Coordinate with Hotel Managers, the Group Operational Manager, and Department Heads to address maintenance requests quickly, keeping accurate records and providing feedback
Plan, oversee, and execute maintenance schedules for hotel equipment and vehicle fleets across the group
Oversee and manage all maintenance operations to ensure the hotel runs smoothly
Skills & Experience:
Proven expertise in preventative maintenance planning and execution
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Facilities or Maintenance Manager role
Strong capabilities in planning, process management, and service delivery
Experience with CAPEX and operational budgeting
Proficiency in MS Office
Prior experience in hotel or property maintenance is advantageous
Qualification:
Grade 12- Matric Certificate
Tertiary qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering
