Job Summary
Oversee and manage all maintenance operations to ensure smooth hotel functioning
Plan, supervise, and execute maintenance schedules for hotel equipment and vehicle fleets across the group
Collaborate with Hotel Managers, Group Operational Manager, and Department Heads to address maintenance requests promptly, ensuring accurate record-keeping and feedback
Implement a preventative maintenance program that complies with warranties, safety regulations, and best practices.
Ensure the safe and secure use of all equipment
Train, guide, and develop staff in the required maintenance skills
Minimize downtime by promptly repairing malfunctioning equipment
Maintain adequate stock levels of essential equipment and supplies
Keep detailed records of inspections, stock control, and purchases
Source competitive quotes from reliable suppliers and establish a base of approved service providers
Prepare annual maintenance budgets, including purchases for machinery, CAPEX items, and labor
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Manager
Hotel or property maintenance experience is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office
Strong skills in planning, process management, and service delivery
Experience in CAPEX and operational budgeting
Proven ability in preventative maintenance planning and execution
Qualification:
Grade 12- Matric Certificate
Tertiary qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering
