Job Summary
PMB based firm are looking for an experienced Commercial Underwriter / Broker Assistant to join their team.
Duties:
- Attend to client queries
- Provide administrative back up to brokers and attend to broker queries
- Source and compare quotes
- Ensure policy schedules received from insurers are accurate and all instructions correctly attended to
- Process policy endorsements
- Ensure strict SLA's are adhered to in terms of turnaround time
- Follow up on outstanding processes, quotes, documents and information
Qualifications and experience:
- Matric - minimum requirement
- RE5 advantageous
- NQF 5 qualification in Underwriting or Short Term insurance advantageous
- 3 years or more experience as an Underwriter
- 3 years or more in the short term insurance industry
- Must have both domestic and commercial experience
