Role overview:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design and manage a resilient data pipeline that effectively processes and integrates both structured and unstructured data into data lakes, warehouses, databases, and other data sources. In this role, you will thrive in an agile setting, working closely with ICT teams, data scientists, and analysts to develop and deploy analytical solutions that address business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Data Strategy
- Contribute to the development and execution of short, medium, and long-term Data Analytics strategies aligned with the organization’s overall Data & Analytics objectives.
- Support the implementation of comprehensive Data & Governance strategies.
Data Engineering
- Collaborate with Chief Data Officers, Data Business Partners, project managers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and maximize the value of data initiatives.
- Gain a deep understanding of core business operations, systems, and data assets.
- Identify necessary data sets and develop initial drafts of models to meet business needs.
- Apply expertise to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
- Monitor data system performance and stability, and periodically clean the data warehouse.
Operations
- Implement standard Data Office guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures when developing data solutions.
Risk, Governance, and Compliance
- Stay informed about legislative, governance, and compliance requirements related to data privacy and security.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, financial, and statutory requirements for data security, retention, and deletion.
- Adhere to internal control procedures and authority levels.
- Manage and mitigate business risks through effective actions and measures.
Teamwork
- Define, measure, and manage SLAs and key success metrics for data visualization activities as required.
Requirements:
- Relevant graduate or post-graduate degree (e.g., Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Mathematics and Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field).
- Successful completion of one or more technical skills assessments.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and/or cloud solutions.
- At least 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
