Job Summary
A prominent group within the Cape Winelands is looking to employ a Finance Clerk for a position that has opened up due to growth and an internal promotion. This group has notable concerns within the Agri, Wine, Hospitality and Property sectors and is a recognised brand.
The purpose of this role will be to provide support to the Junior Accountant and the Financial Manager and record and review financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and timely submission of information used to support the business in their financial decision-making and ensure statutory compliance.
The ideal candidate should have an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance diploma, degree or certificate and some finance experience will be a definate benefit. On the job training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Company financial information effectively and efficiently.
- Reports to the Junior Accountant and Senior Finance Manager with accurate and timely financial information, including debtor age analysis, reconciliations, bank reconciliations, tenant information and cash flow information.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with leases, annual increases, property maintenance and responsibilities.
- Processing Cash Books and allocating income and expenses.
- Reconciliation of accounts (Debtors, Creditors, Bank, Petty Cash).
- Manage accounts receivable process.
- Assist with processing of creditors.
- Assisting with CAPEX, fixed assets and asset management.
- Posting monthly journals.
- Petty Cash and Credit Card management and reconciliation.
- Assist in expense analysis report.
- Assist with financial audits.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and irregularities.
- Data management and processing.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (with Accounting and / or Mathematics).
- Recognised Accounting qualification.
- At least 3 years working experience in a similar role.
- Experience of ERP Accounting systems (Navision or BC365 essential).
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) and Power BI and advantage.
- Excellent administrative and time management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with strong financial acumen and excellent time management skills.
- Results driven with strong communication skills; proficient in presenting reports and financial information to others.

Remuneration:
- R180,000 to R200,000 per annum ctc.
