Position: Accountant

Reporting to: Financial Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and a passion for accuracy and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-today financial transaction and record -keeping.
• Perform and maintain accurate and timely bank reconciliations to align financial records with bank statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, including bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices, vendor payments, and customer payments.
• Assist Financial Manager in preparing monthly management accounts,
• Analyse financial data and generate reports providing valuable insights for decision-making.
• Process monthly journal entries E.g., Payroll, accruals etc.
• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation, including Intercompany accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to identify areas for system and general ledger enhancements, contributing to process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assisting Financial Manager with month end closure.
• Support the Financial Manager in the external audit process.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

• Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles.
• Ability to create logical and thorough financial reports.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Xero.
• MS Excel Advanced (Non-negotiable)
