Job Summary
A niche accounting and taxation consulting firm in Stellenbosch is wanting to employ an experienced bookkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern and established niche firm and make an immediate high value impact.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in the practice environment. Experience in Xero will be an added advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow and gain exposure to an array of different sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll for clients.
- Preparing accounting work relating to annual financial statements.
- Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
- Maintain excellent client relationships.
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12.
- Diploma/Certificate in Accounting will be an advantage.
- Experience is more important than qualification.
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Pastel, Sage and Xero).
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a bookkeeper.
- Must have experience in VAT, PAYE and Income tax.
- Liaising with SARS.
Remuneration:
- R15,000 to R25,000 per month.
