Job Summary
Qualification- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Tax.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software and tax preparation software (QuickBooks, Sage One, Xero, Zoho Accounting, SimplePay)
- Prior internship or relevant work experience in accounting would be an advantage
- General administration, filing and e-Filing maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns (ITR14 / ITR12).
- Preparation and submission of provisional tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
- Monthly VAT201, EMP201 and UIF submissions.
- Employer PAYE reconciliations and submissions (EMP501).
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in communicating with clients to gather necessary tax information and documents.
- Prepare workpapers and schedules to support tax filings and calculations.
- Participate in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and their potential impact on clients.
- Provide general support to senior tax accountants and managers as needed

- Processing of client payroll data.
- Drafting of financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
