Job Summary
One of our diagnostic pathology clients are looking for an experienced Finance Manager from the Public Health sector, with funding/grants experience to join their team in JHB.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising Grant Accountants and Administrators
- Implementing recommendations
- Stakeholder engagement
- Manage compiling of general ledger recons
- Project management - cost centre
- Oversee transactions and journal entries
- Draft grant reports
- Manage payments and claims
- Planning and overseeing audits
- Resolve complex accounting issues
Must have:
- Matric
- ND Financial Management / Accounting
- No less than 8 years' experience within funding / grants, of which 5 years' must have been within a supervisor / manager role
- Familiar with PPPFA, PFMA, Treasure regulations, GRAP, BBBEE
- Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting
- Analytical
- Communication
- Management
- Numerical
- Business acumen
- Valid drivers' license
- Clear ITC (Credit record)
- Clear criminal record
- Reference checks will be conducted upfront
