Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator for our client. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of new projects and assessing the financial feasibility of potential initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials, labor costs, and project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze print specifications, including quantity, size, color, and finishing requirements
- Calculate production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely estimates are provided to clients
- Review and interpret customer artwork and files to determine production feasibility
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals, including pricing breakdowns and delivery timelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of printing processes, materials, and technologies
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure materials availability
- Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and answer any questions or concerns
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on feasibility, costs, and production schedules
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments to estimates as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in print management, graphic design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the printing industry.
- Proficient in using print estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of different printing processes and materials.
- Familiarity with print industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Customer service oriented with a focus on building strong relationships with clients.
