Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Tax Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all tax laws and regulations. The Tax Compliance Officer will work closely with our finance and accounting teams to maintain accurate financial records and submit timely tax filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and update tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
Prepare and submit tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.
Conduct regular audits and internal reviews to identify any potential tax issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to address any tax-related inquiries or concerns.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations on how they may impact our organization.
Assist with developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tax transactions and filings.
Provide training and guidance to staff on tax compliance issues and best practices.
Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities in a timely and professional manner.
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in tax compliance.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance or a related field. Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax software. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
