Company Overview:
Join a dynamic mining entity with coal mines in Lephalale, Delmas, Belfast, Kriel, and Centurion Head Office. They are seeking a skilled Senior Accounting Assistant to support their project accounting team, focusing on accounts payable and project cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of suppliers.
- Perform project cost control tasks, with a focus on tracking and managing project expenses.
- Reconcile creditor accounts, ensuring accuracy in processing supplier invoices.
- Maintain and update SAP financial systems, including all aspects of supplier management.
- Assist with month-end reporting, ensuring costs are captured accurately within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with the project and finance teams to monitor financial performance against budgets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 with Mathematics and Accounting.
- Diploma in Financial Management or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project cost control and supplier processes.
- Proficiency in SAP systems is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and creditor functions, preferably in a project-based environment.
