Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's vibrant team in Stellenbosch.
This role offers a chance to work on diverse projects in a beautiful location while gaining valuable experience in the quantity surveying field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications.
- Support project teams in monitoring progress and managing financial variances.
- Participate in site visits to assess project developments and financial performance.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, transactions, and changes.
- Contribute to the preparation of contract documentation and tender submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying specifically with a Quantity Surveying firm (candidates with experience only in construction firms will not be considered).
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, WinQS) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong grasp of building regulations and standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
