Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to join their team at a leading plastic manufacturing company in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering and manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce waste
- Design and implement new manufacturing processes and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules and maximize output
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflow
- Develop and maintain production standards and guidelines for quality control
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and technologies
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems, particularly in the plastics industry
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and practices is a plus
