Job Specification: Sales Engineer
Role Overview: We are seeking a Sales Engineer to manage a portfolio of clients, build long-term relationships, and support sales targets. The role requires deep technical knowledge of our products and effective client engagement to drive satisfaction and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Develop and sustain strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Sales Execution: Understand client needs, implement sales plans, and suggest appropriate products/services to meet those needs.
- Technical Expertise: Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of our products to address client requirements and enhance the sales process.
- After-Sales Support: Offer post-sale support to retain clients and resolve any issues or queries.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on account status and progress toward targets.
- Collaboration: Work with the Regional/Area Manager to create tailored sales strategies for key clients.
- Product Promotion: Introduce and promote new products/services to existing clients.
- Site Activities: Commission pumps, conduct site visits, monitor pump reliability, and open new sites/clients as needed.
- Client Insights: Gather and use client information to refine sales strategies and improve service.
Requirements:
- Education: Matric and a B.Eng in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with experience in pump technology.
