Civil Engineer / Technologist

Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering company, is looking for a Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team at the Umhlanga office.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in BSc Civ Eng / B Eng (Civils) or B Tech (Civil Eng)
- Registered or in the process of registering as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong leadership skills with a solid technical background
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including 1-2 years in team leadership within a consulting engineering firm
- Experience in infrastructure design, particularly roads, earthworks, stormwater, and sewer systems
- Preferably experience in pump station design for sewer and water supply
- Advantageous to have experience in municipal engineering, housing infrastructure, or industrial sectors
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential), and familiarity with IDAS
- Knowledge of Hec-ras, GIS, PCSWMM, or similar tools is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Attention to detail with accuracy in work
- Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
- Dynamic, driven, and humble attitude
- Ability to remain even-tempered and work well within a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on civil engineering projects
- Design technology solutions
- Manage complete project life cycles
- Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
- Implement project-specific controls
- Mentor junior engineers
Other Details:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to sites within South Africa and Africa as needed.
