Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Hire Resolves client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Quantity Surveyor in Bloemfontein, Free State. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the construction industry and gain valuable experience in quantity surveying.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior quantity surveyors in estimating and costing building projects
- Prepare bills of quantities and tender documents
- Analyse project variations and prepare variation orders
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather relevant information
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and costs
- Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to project managers
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
