Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and Development: Designing, developing, and testing electrical systems, components, equipment, and products. This may include power generation and distribution systems, control systems, electronic devices, and circuits.
- Project Planning and Management: Participating in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Collaborating with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- System Analysis and Optimization: Analyzing electrical systems and components to identify inefficiencies, weaknesses, or areas for improvement. Developing and implementing strategies to optimize system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Technical Documentation: Creating technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and documentation for electrical systems and components. Ensuring documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Installation and Commissioning: Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems and equipment. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards during installation and operation.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems, faults, and failures. Developing maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of electrical systems.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Implementing safety measures and protocols to minimize risks associated with electrical hazards and accidents.
- Research and Development: Conducting research and development activities to explore new technologies, materials, and methods for electrical engineering. Staying updated on industry trends and advancements to inform design and development processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders. Communicating technical concepts, requirements, and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development: Pursuing opportunities for continuing education, training, and professional development to stay current with advancements in electrical engineering and maintain professional certifications.

- English is normal language
- Mandarin or Afrikaans will be preferred
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering University
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineer field
