Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Registered Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team in Bloemfontein. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to make an impact in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Conduct detailed analysis and measurements of plans to develop accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
- Compile and submit tender documents to clients.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects, including valuations and payment certifications.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project timelines and costs.
- Monitor site progress and manage cost deviations to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Provide advice on contractual issues and claims management.
- Compile final accounts and manage project close-out documentation.
Requirements:
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing commercial projects is a plus.
