Job Summary
Our client, a power solutions company with offices in Somerset West and Johannesburg, is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer/Consultant to join their dynamic team in their Johannesburg or Somerset West Office.
The ideal candidate is someone that is confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks and that can get things done. They are looking for a go-getter kind of person who is open to traveling a lot.
Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities.
- Ensure legal and contractual compliance.
- Ensure financial viability and operational deliveries are mapped out and met.
- Build relationships, build the companies brand, and ensure client requirements are addressed when developing new business opportunities.
- Ensure new business ventures align with and compliment the great growth strategy.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor of commerce degree (or equivalent) or Engineering degree or Sales qualifications.
- Successful track record in business development.
- Knowledge of the power/ solar industry / generators / micro grids sectors.
- Existing relevant networks.
- Ability to find own leads to turn into new clients.
- Ability to run with new clients who have already signed.
Salary: R35 000 to R60 000 (depending on experience) plus commission.
Area: Johannesburg (Rosebank and Roodepoort) or Somerset West.
Years Experience: 3 to 6 years plus sales experience, ideally in the renewable energy engineering sectors.
