Job Summary
Mechanical System Maintenance: The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems. Equipment Repair and Service: Performing repairs and servicing mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning. Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with mechanical codes and regulations and promoting a safe working environment Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment. Conduct inspections and tests to identify mechanical system malfunctions or potential issues. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical systems and components. Repair or replace faulty mechanical components, such as pumps, motors, and valves. Install and assemble mechanical equipment and machinery. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts and replacing filters. Interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams to execute installations and repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal equipment performance. Maintain and calibrate mechanical equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Follow mechanical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety. Keep accurate records of mechanical repairs, maintenance, and service history. Provide technical assistance and guidance to colleagues and other team members. Respond to mechanical emergencies and resolve issues promptly. Stay updated with mechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanical technicians, if applicable. Maintain inventory of mechanical parts, equipment, and supplies and coordinate their procurement. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines. Follow safe work practices and procedures when working with mechanical systems and equipment. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with mechanical equipment and machinery. Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Knowledge of mechanical system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair practices. Understanding of mechanical principles, codes, and regulations. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical system issues. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams. Familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, pumps, and conveyors. Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
