Job Summary
Qualifications- Matric with a relevant technical qualification, additional certification in polymer science or manufacturing is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in injection moulding operations, including setting and operating machines
- Technical proficiency in carious types of injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with mould maintenance and basic mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Lead and supervise a ream of operators and technicians, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff to enhance skill development and operational efficiency.
- Monitor team performance, conduct performance appraisals, and address any staff concerns.
- Sep up, start and operate various types of injection moulding machines to ensure proper operation and output.
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to maintain high-quality standards and prevent production downtime.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of machinery and work arears.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet daily and weekly targets.
- Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime and material usage.
- Inspect and ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Promote and maintain a sage working environment in line with company policies and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
