Hire Resolve's Leading Mining Client are currently seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join their mining operation in Limpopo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities within the mining site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maximizing equipment uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians to ensure efficient maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for electrical and instrumentation systems within the mining operation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and technical procedures.
- Monitor budget and costs related to electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical and instrumentation issues that may arise during operation.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics
- Instrument Trade Certificate / Electrical Trade Certificate
- 5 years working experience as a technician or Electrical Supervisor within a mining environment
- Programming of SCADA systems and PLC Siemens S7
- Cement plant instruments and equipment knowledge
