Job Title: Risk Officer - Mining
Location: Limpopo, South Africa
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Officer to join their mining team in Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks within our mining operations to ensure the safety of our employees and the sustainability of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and risks within the mining operations
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and plans in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management activities and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide training and guidance to employees on risk management best practices and procedures
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to risk management in the mining sector
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Safety Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to mining operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional certification in risk management or related field is a plus
