Our client in the property development industry is seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Reside in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan area
- 3-5 years civil experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Qualification in civil or related fields will be advantageous
Skills:
- Able to perform under pressure.
- Willing to learn
- Strong leadership and management skills. Managing sub-contractors on various sites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail
- Able to read plans, take measurements and levels.
- Valid driver's license
- Strong physical stamina
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to complete projects
- Must be able to set out the levels of the road by using a dumpy level
- Must be able to manage the labor in all aspects
- Must be able to manage the labor and the machines to build the road with the different materials
Details about position:
The type of civil construction that needs to be done is in town house complexes with stormwater and preparation for roads that needs to done to prep for paving:
The setting out and building of the roads (compaction, bringing in gravel, ensuring levels are correct, ensuring roads are set out right, ensuring curbs are in the right places)
