Job Title: Purchasing Manager - MiningLocation: Gauteng, South Africa
Overview:
Hire Resolve's Client are a leading mining company based in Gauteng, South Africa. Our Client is currently seeking a qualified Purchasing Manager to join their team and oversee all procurement activities related to our mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans that align with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for all mining-related purchases
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing requests for proposals, evaluating bids, and selecting vendors
- Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality products/services
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and finance, to ensure alignment on purchasing decisions
- Stay current on market trends, products, and pricing in the mining industry to make informed purchasing decisions
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the company's profitability
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and contracts
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Commerce
- 4 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing gained in Mining
- 2 years in strategic sourcing experience
- Previous experience in B-BBEE Reporting and Mining Charter
- Previous SAP experience
Benefits:
- Salary: R1m – R1,2m CTC
