We are currently seeking an experienced Aerospace Rolling Mill Operator with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team and contribute to the production of aerospace-grade materials.

Position Overview:

As an experienced Aerospace Rolling Mill Operator, you will play a critical role in the production of metal products used in aerospace applications. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining rolling mill equipment to produce aerospace-grade sheets, plates, and components made from high-performance alloys. Your expertise will ensure that all materials meet the exacting standards required for the aerospace industry and that the rolling mill operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and Monitor: Run and maintain rolling mill machinery to produce high-quality aerospace metals, including aluminum, titanium, and high-strength steel.
• Machine Setup: Adjust rolling mill equipment to meet production requirements, including changing rollers and managing machine settings for various material thicknesses and specifications.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep rolling mills in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime.
• Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet stringent aerospace specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure the smooth running of operations and implement any necessary improvements.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and operational procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production processes, material inspections, and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience operating rolling mill machinery, preferably in the aerospace or high-performance materials manufacturing sectors.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cold and hot rolling processes, and experience working with aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, and high-strength steel.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Quality Focus: Experience in performing quality control and ensuring that materials meet industry specifications.
• Safety Commitment: In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and a proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision in machine operation, material handling, and product inspection.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in materials engineering, metallurgy, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC systems or other automated controls in rolling mill operations.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and inspection methods.
• Prior experience in high-performance alloys used in aerospace applications.
