SENIOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR – Danforth, JHB
R35 000 – R45 000 P/M Basic Salary Per Month plus Medical Aid and Provident Fund, Negotiable depending on Qualification and Years of Experience
Our client, a highly reputable and established Landscaping Design service provider is in need of an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Solely responsible for the entire payroll with an average staff compliment of 700+
- Managing and processing the entire payroll on a monthly basis
- Verifying working hours and pay rates with clocking software & employee contracts (where applicable)
- Tracking employee absence via clocking software
- Verify new engagement documents and advising employees of any additional requirements
- Planning payroll deadlines and submissions
- Loading input submitted before the payroll input deadline including new engagements and terminations
- Addressing any queries received from employees regarding Payslips, tax and leave
- Process and facilitate annual increase and bonus payments
- Leave management
- Process other financial compensations or deductions (casuals, staff loans, etc.).
- Submitting month-end reports to finance, including the costing reports, EMP201, 12 Months Report, Leave Provision and General Ledger
- Reconciling the payroll and all third parties, and liaising with third parties where necessary (Medical Aid, Provident Fund, ect.)
- Advising and providing the necessary documents to employees who need to claim UIF
- Performing system maintenance and ensuring all records are updated on PSIber (payroll software)
- Preparing induction documentation for new employees & assisting with the onboarding process
- Compiling reports for EXCO
- Liaising with management on Payroll Processes and any possible improvements
- Drafting the Payroll Policy and continuously improving processes where necessary
- Advising IR on the impact of disciplinary action on an employee’s payroll
- Compiling and populating the data for Employment Equity Reporting
- Submitting EMP501`s and creating IRP5`s, addressing any queries related to IRP5`s
- Conducting the annual medical aid audit to ensure compliance by employees
- Compiling reports and tending to auditor requests
Minimum Requirements:
- B. Com Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar field or matric with proven experience
- 6-8 Years proven and stable work experience gained in the full administration of large payrolls
- Experience gained within the construction / landscaping / engineering or related industry is highly advantageous!
- Good command of software/database, Psiber ideally or PaySpace or VIP Cloud etc. to complete administrative procedures
- Proficieny in MS Excel and MS Office
- Strong knowledge of Payroll metrics, systems, and databases
- Up-to-date knowledge of labour law and regulations
- Ability to analyse large volumes of data
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
- Own reliable transport
